We extend a warm welcome to all who worship with us today, especially any visitors. Everyone is invited to stay for a cup of coffee and a chat in the Lounge after Morning Worship.

This week’s family news:

Rev. Barrie Heafford has now finished his chemotherapy treatment and is awaiting surgery within the next few weeks.  He and Margaret very much appreciate the cards and messages they have received from so many people and are very grateful for your continued thoughts and prayers.

Urukai, Vincent’s son will be starting a car cleaning venture in the church car park. He is trying to raise £120 plus for a Djembe Drum which he hopes to play at various services in the church. He will be charging £6 for a car wash and dry by chamois, and £3 for hoovering the inside of your car. Cheaper than a car wash! He will be starting this venture on the day of the table top sale – Saturday, 25th February, and on Coffee Mornings.

NOTICES

TABLE TOP SALE- NEXT SATURDAY, 25TH FEBRUARY 2.00–4.00 pm.  Please look out items of unwanted gifts and good quality books, clothes, scarves, handbags, jewellery, china, etc and bring them to church on the morning of the sale. The church will be open from 9.30 am onwards when we will be setting out the tables. The sale starts at 2.00 pm and we will also be serving tea and biscuits. I have some offers of help but could always do with more, i.e.putting out tables, sorting items in the morning selling and serving tea during the sale and, of course clearing away afterwards. Please contact me, Cynthia, if you can help.

THE CHURCHES TOGETHER LENT COURSE will take place at our Church on the five Wednesdays in Lent, between 29th February and 28th March, 8.00 - 9.30 pm. Please help yourself to the leaflet entitled “Banquet of Prayer”, available in the foyer, which contains details of all the Easter Services, and themes for the Wednesday meetings.  There is also a Lenten Retreat Day on 3rd March, for which booking is required.
